A wide field opens toward the distant ridge line of Old Rag Mountain, one of the most iconic peaks in the Shenandoah range. The trees glow with the bright greens of spring, just as the light begins to fade and the sky comes alive. Bands of golden light stretch across the sky, brushing the mountains in shadow and warmth. Dark clouds drift above the ridges, bringing contrast and shape to the scene.
This is a quiet invitation to presence. The path through the field leads nowhere in particular, but the view offers everything—space, stillness, and a sense of belonging to the earth. The light is soft but radiant, the moment fleeting but grounding. It’s a view that asks for nothing but attention.
